TRW Automotive U.S. LLC, a subsidiary of TRW Automotive Holdings Corp., today announced the acquisition of Michelin North America Inc.’s stake in the EnTire Solutions, LLC joint venture.
TRW Automotive acquired the stake as part of the Company’s commitment to develop its portfolio of electronics systems.
Michelin and TRW will work together to assure a smooth transition.
EnTire Solutions, LLC was a joint venture between Michelin and TRW Automotive established in 2003 to develop and manufacture direct tire pressure monitoring systems.
EnTire Solutions brought together Michelin's expertise in tires and TRW's expertise in electronics to develop, market and sell direct, driver-oriented tire pressure monitoring (TPM) systems, and related tools and services to original equipment manufacturers worldwide.
EnTire Solution's product portfolio was branded as " EnTire Solution".
EnTire Solutions, LLC was headquartered in Farmington Hills, Michigan (USA) with regional representation in Europe and Asia.
Future Tire Pressure Monitoring activities will continue with these headquarter and regional representations.
