The most important feature is the low tire pressure telltale.

This symbol will illuminate and stay on when one or more tires are under inflated. The driver will need to check each tire to verify which one is under inflated and re-inflate the tire to the recommended vehicle tire pressure.
Another important feature is the TPMS malfunction indicator. The letters “TPMS” may illuminate on the vehicle dashboard if a TPM system problem is detected. If this symbol is illuminated on the dashboard, the driver should consult his vehicle owner's manual for additional information and instructions.
Beyond the two elements discussed above, the vehicle manufacturers may introduce other TPM system elements in the vehicle. The attached pdf file discusses some of these elements. For each vehicle, however, it is best to read the vehicle owner's manual for its TPM system elements.
